We only look at the past three seasons for a player. If you are looking back to 2016 for a player’s stats, you’re better off picking sides in Captain America: Civil War. The Vikings freed Stefon Diggs and moved him to the former wasteland known as Buffalo. What do his 2020 fantasy football prospects look like?

What the heck, fantasy community?! Last season, Diggs was consistently going in the third and fourth rounds. Now he’s gone to a better offense and a much less toxic situation, and people aren’t picking him late until late in the fifth!? You’ve made me dip into my dwindling stash of both question marks and exclamation points, and I can’t afford to do that forever so knock it off.

Diggs currently has so much fantasy value, Herb Villechaize should be jumping up and down on him shouting, “De plane! De plane!” If your league, for some bizarre reason, does it’s redrafting right about now, Diggs anywhere in the fifth is a windmill slam.

Obligatory Disclaimer: My low auction value on this player doesn’t indicate I don’t like them (I do!). They just fall into a large group of WR2s, at least one of whom falls for 50% or less of their expected price in every single auction I’ve done, and I’ve done at least a dozen per week since mid-May. Holding out for that value is the key to a successful auction.

Stefon Diggs prima donna-ed his way out of Minnesota. That’s the phrase you use when your quarterback can’t get your best weapon the football and he rightly gets upset about it. His last good play with the Vikings was Kirk Cousins underthrowing him so poorly that Ahkello Witherspoon fell down trying to get the interception. Diggs took it in for a touchdown. That’s a fitting end to a career in Minny that saw Diggs making the best of a quarterback mismatch. He now gets an amazing match with Josh Allen, who loves to chuck it deep. The only question: has Josh Allen’s deep ball accuracy gotten good enough to make Diggs a valuable fantasy football asset?

Best Case Scenario:

Diggs clicks with Josh Allen, decides to feel hope once more, and becomes a low-end WR1 for a screaming value in drafts.

Worst Case Scenario:

Diggs is a passable WR3. There’s a high floor with this one. His nickname should be “America” because one thing’s for sure: He’s got talent.
