Jordan Howard Overview:
Jordan Howard doesn’t deserve such ADP disrespect and roster disrespect as he’s getting. Sure, Howard doesn’t exactly light up the receiving stats, but he’s as steady a middle-class runner in the NFL as you can get these days. Howard had some injury troubles last year, but in his four-year career he averages over 1,250 yards and nine touchdowns per sixteen games played. For reference, fifteen running backs had over 1,250 yards from scrimmage last year, so that puts him in some rarified air If he averages that amount over the course of a season. Of course, given his role as a banger back, he gets about 9 touchdowns per 16 games, as well.
Jordan Howard Draft Strategy:
Jordan Howard Auction Value: $3
Draft Ranking: Find out for your league settings in a Beersheet! (coming late June)
Draft-and-stash Jordan Howard. He is going to be the Marvin Jones Jr. of running backs this season. He’s an unsexy running back going as a reserve pick who will return top-24 value when all is said and done. It’s not that complicated; he will be a glue guy at a position that has one of the highest bust rates in the league. You may not be super excited about him in week one, but by week five, you sure will be glad that he’s around to make everything go for your squad.
Best Case Scenario:
Jordan Howard snatches the role away from Matt Breida and takes a step forward, going for 1,300 and ten scores.
Worst Case Scenario:
Matt Breida snatches the role away from Jordan Howard, and Ryan Fitzpatrick leads the Dolphins in rushing yards again.
